Responsibilities:
Providing technical assessment of customer ID applications in pre-sales and technical support in post-sales situations.

Work closely with the sales team, be sensitive to sales situations, able to quickly analyze a technical problem through customer’s sample evaluations, recommend and implement a solution to meet the customers’ requirements, able to deliver effective presentation and demonstration of technical solutions to both large and small technical and non-technical audiences.

Other responsibilities include: preparing software and hardware to demonstrate Cognex’s ID system capabilities during Trade Shows, preparing and conducting technical seminar presentation, and supporting beta customers.

Provide front-line ID technical support. Interface and coordinate with technical support group to meet customers’ satisfaction.

Conduct ID Product training courses in both English and Chinese to customers.

This position requires almost 25-40% cross-region travel time, any candidate should be willing to travel at short notice.

Qualifications:
Education :
BS or MS in an engineering field such as Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics or equivalent.
Knowledge of optics and lighting is of benefit.

Languages :
Bilingual Chinese/English is mandatory.

Professional Experience :
A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar position in factory automation is required. Previous experience of at least one year with ID application is a MUST. Proficient in at least one of the following programming languages: VB, VB.Net, C#.Net, VC++, Java. Understanding of the PC and networking environment is an absolute must. Understanding of the industry protocol for communication with PLC is of benefit.

Personal Qualification :
The uppermost qualification is a working attitude of devoting to achieving team goal, and to helping customer to solve their problem in a timely and satisfactory manner.

Candidate should have: good communication, interpersonal, technical, organizational and presentation skills, good analytical and problem solving skills.
